Polyurethane Based Primer
It is a single component, polyurethane based, solvent based, transparent, mineral based and primer developed for absorbent surfaces such as concrete surfaces.
Suitable Areas of Application
Mechanical surface preparation (blastrack, rotatiger etc.) should be done. The dust layer formed should be swept with industrial vacuum cleaners, the surface to be applied should be solid, dry and clean. Any dust, oil, paraffin, bitumen and adherence reducing parts that will prevent adhesion to the surface should be cleaned and all loose parts such as mortar, plaster etc. should be cleaned from the surface. Concrete quality should be at least C20 / 25, 28 days old. The tensile strength of the reinforced concrete surface should be 1.5 N/mm², humidity rate should be 4%, and the ground surface temperature should be +8 ºC. The success of the application depends on the correct preparation of the ground and the correct use of the material. Abrasion and roughening process is carried out with the method to be selected according to the condition of the surface. The surface is completely cleaned of dust with an industrial vacuum cleaner and made ready for application.
CORU PU 105 is a single component, ready to use product. In order to obtain a homogeneous mixture, care should be taken that the product temperature is not less than 15°C. The material should be sufficiently mixed with a low speed mixer before application.
CORU PU 105 is applied homogeneously in a single coat on a previously prepared surface with a roller or brush. CORU PU 105 is applied in one or two coats until the surface is saturated and a layer is created. The packages that have been kept at room temperature (+15°C - +25°C) for 24 hours should be opened and mixed until a homogeneous consistency is achieved. The mixing process should definitely be done by selecting a low speed mixer and a suitable tip. The polyurethane insulation material or mastic to be applied should be applied 2 - 3 hours after the material is applied (while the primer surface is sticky). The top coat material should definitely be applied to the surface where the primer is applied within a maximum of 24 hours. Do not apply on wet and damp surfaces. The material should be protected against water, rain, external factors and mechanical stresses until it has set. It should be kept in mind that the waiting period may be shortened in hot weather and may be extended in cold weather.
Depending on the surface condition; the pore structure of the ground, absorbency etc. may increase the consumption. It is recommended to make a test on the ground to control the consumption. Theoretical consumption as a primer: 0.100 kg/m2 – 0.300 kg/m2.
