CORUMIX-10

Concrete Antifreeze (Liquid)

A universal antifreeze additive that enables concrete pouring in cold weather by accelerating cement hydration, allowing the concrete to set faster. It is suitable for use in temperatures as low as -10°C.

Suitable Application Areas:

  • Accelerates the hydration of cement, enabling the concrete to set faster.
  • Used in concrete pouring at temperatures down to -10°C.
  • For temperatures between +5°C and -5°C, use 1% of the cement weight.
  • For temperatures between -5°C and -10°C, use 2% of the cement weight.
  • Using more will not enable concrete pouring below -10°C.
FEATURES
  • Since it does not contain calcium chloride, it does not damage the reinforcement.
  • It is non-corrosive. It shortens the initial and final setting times of cement.
  • It ensures that the concrete strength limit (4-5 N/mm2) required for frost resistance is exceeded as soon as possible and shortens this period.
  • Can be used with normal and super plasticizers.
APPLICATION
  • CORUMIX -10°C is preferably added to the mortar water or poured into the concrete mixer and/or the pan mixer in the concrete plant at the same time as the mortar water. It is not recommended to add it to the dry mixture. Then, the known processes are carried out for the production of good concrete. Early strength is obtained. Cement, aggregate and water should be protected from frost, there should be no ice particles between the water and the aggregate. If necessary, the water should be heated. The temperature of fresh concrete should not be below +5°C. In order to protect the hydration heat, especially in windy environments, the concrete should be covered. It is recommended to keep the water/cement ratio at a minimum. It is recommended to use pure Portland cement in concrete production. Wooden molds should be preferred. When added directly to fresh concrete on site, the mixing time is increased by 3 minutes at high speed to ensure homogeneity. Before pouring the concrete into the mold, it should be visually checked that it is of uniform consistency. When using CORUMIX -10°C, local materials should be tried and appropriate concrete mix should be taken into consideration. Before using CORUMIX -10°C, it is recommended to carry out compatibility tests.
