CORU EM 402

Epoxy Based Repair, Anchorage and Expansion Joint Adhesive Mortar

A 2-component thixotropic, solvent-free epoxy resin, hardener and special fillers, developed for fixing repair anchorage and expansion joints.

Suitable Areas of Application

  • In gluing TPE-based tapes in expansion joint insulation,
  • In sprout planting in concrete and stone structures,
  • In repairing defects and wide cracks in reinforced concrete structures,
  • In fixing metal construction materials to concrete construction elements.
FEATURES
  • Suitable for horizontal, vertical and overhead applications.
  • It is easy to apply.
  • Its adhesion strength is very high.
  • Its abrasion resistance is very high.
  • It is a coating resistant to mechanical impacts and against wear and tear that may occur due to friction or chemical effects. It is waterproof.
  • It gains its mechanical strength very quickly.
  • Resistant to chemicals.
APPLICATION

The reinforced concrete surfaces to be applied must have completed a 4-week curing period and have a minimum tensile strength of 25 N/mm2 and a tensile strength of 1.5 N/mm2. The surface to be applied must be cleared of water, dust, and loose particles. Materials such as oil, dirt, etc. must be removed. Metal and steel surfaces must be cleaned by sandblasting. Care must be taken to ensure that there is no oil or rust.

CORU EM 402 is applied with a spatula or trowel. Application thickness should be between 2 mm and 30 mm. Epoxy mortar is smoothed with a trowel to ensure surface smoothness. Do not apply on wet surfaces.

  • The material must be protected against water, rain, external factors and mechanical stress until it has set.
  • It should be kept in mind that the waiting time may be shorter in hot weather and longer in cold weather.
