KUCUK METAL KOVA CORUNEX THIOSEAL

CORUNEX THIOSEAL

Polysulfide Sealant (Horizontal)

It is a two-component liquid polymer (polysulfide) based, very highly elastic fluid joint sealant that cures in the presence of a catalyst.

Suitable Areas of Application

  • High movement capacity, durability that can maintain its properties for a very long time even under severe weather conditions and resistance to chemicals in buildings and all other structures that require very high flexibility.
  • It is used as a joint sealant in horizontal expansion joints.
  • In the automobile industry,
  • It is used as an assembly material in marine vehicles to fill holes and joints and to insulate against external environmental conditions
APPLICATION
  • Care should be taken not to create air bubbles in the mixture during mixing. The mixture should be used within 1 hour at the latest after preparation.
  • Application is done using a gun and applicator suitable for the packaging type.
  • If the joint depth is large, the joint depth should be adjusted with appropriate profiles to save material.
  • Use of primer to improve adhesion.
STORAGE, PACKAGING, CONSUMPTION
  • It should be stacked up to 8 times in its original packaging.
  • It should be stored in a closed area.
  • Necessary precautions must be taken against water, humidity, frost and severe weather conditions.
  • It should be stored on a pallet and in a dry place between +10°C and +25°C.
  • Punctured, opened and burst buckets should be closed or used immediately.
  • If the specified storage conditions are observed, the storage life is 12 months.
  • WATERNOT is produced in 5 kg powder form in a bucket.
  • Consumption rate varies depending on the application technique and the absorbency of the surface.
  • A controlled sample is recommended for exact consumption.
  • The specified rates are theoretical standards and may vary depending on the application method and intensity of use.
SAFETY AND WARNINGS
  • After preventing leakage by using WATERNOT, waterproofing should be done on it.
  • Freshly applied material should not be exposed to rain or frost for 24 hours.
  • Pay attention to the safety signs and warnings on the packaging.
  • Adequate ventilation should be provided in workshops, and open flames and high temperatures should be avoided.
  • Mix well before application.
  • Do not leave the lid of the packaging open.
  • Avoid application in weather conditions where rain is expected or under rain.
  • It should not be brought into contact with skin, eyes and mouth, and the application should be carried out by taking the necessary work safety precautions.
  • Avoid applying at temperatures below +10°C and above +30°C, do not try to use frozen material by adding water.
