Water Based Invisible Insulation and Surface Impregnation Material
WATERDROP is a water insulation and primer material based on impregnated silicone that penetrates the surface it is applied to, creating an invisible barrier against water in the capillary channels, providing excellent water repellency, while not affecting the water vapor permeability of the surface and thus allowing the surface to breathe
Suitable Areas of Application
It is used on all kinds of concrete surfaces, mineral plasters, highly absorbent surfaces such as aerated concrete, brick, tile, terracotta, travertine, on mineral based natural and artificial stones, on mineral-based painted surfaces, on monuments and sculptures that fit this description. It can be used to protect surfaces that fit this description (poolside, balcony, terrace) against stains that may be caused by spilled liquids. It provides water repellency in the joints of non porous surface structural elements such as ceramics, tiles, metal, glass, glass tiles, etc. It can be used as a primer before painting on surfaces. It is not suitable for use on paint, under pressurized water or under soil where there is high hydrostatic pressure.
It can be applied with a brush, roller or spray gun. WATERDROP should be mixed well before application. Application is done by saturating the surface with the wet-on-wet method without waiting for the first layer to dry. At least two layers should be applied. If a coating material is to be applied on WATERDROP, one day should be waited after the WATERDROP application. If it is to be used in the joints of non-porous surface structural elements such as ceramics, tiles, metal, glass, glass tiles, etc., the joints should be repaired first and the joint fillers should be renewed. WATERDROP is applied to the joints with the wet-on-wet method with a thin-tipped brush. After the process is completed, the material that has overflowed onto shiny surfaces should be wiped with a wet cloth. Otherwise, a matte appearance will remain.
